The Smallwood team is working hard to get our occupancy permit and complete a bunch of miscellaneous things as we enter the final push.

Last week the beautiful Bainbridge Island wide-board cedar was installed in the stair tower and final room paneling (for the entrance) is about to begin.

Our composting toilets have begun final install with Phoenix – and our water purification system installed – and passed the water test with flying colors!

Another exciting milestone – Rick from Knauff performed a blower door test – testing for air leakage – even though there are still some areas that need sealing – and the house already performed significantly beyond code – and nearly at Passive House standards to begin with. We are confident that once fully buttoned up that the house will exceed the Passive house standard !

Outside Clemente’s team installs planters – and this week gets ready to put in the first application of Earth Measure pavers by Cold Spring.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_image admin_label=”Image” src=”http://heronhall.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/january-progress.jpg” show_in_lightbox=”on” url_new_window=”off” use_overlay=”off” animation=”left” sticky=”off” align=”left” force_fullwidth=”off” always_center_on_mobile=”on” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”] [/et_pb_image][et_pb_gallery admin_label=”Gallery” gallery_ids=”3645,3648,3643,3644,3646,3647″ fullwidth=”off” posts_number=”8″ show_title_and_caption=”off” show_pagination=”on” background_layout=”light” auto=”off” hover_overlay_color=”rgba(255,255,255,0.9)” caption_all_caps=”off” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”] [/et_pb_gallery][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”] The Smallwood team is working hard to get our occupancy permit and complete a bunch of miscellaneous […]

[34,54
217,210,89,218,213,168,209,216,211,212,183,153,208,35,37,40,101,111,203,174,147,215,214,123
post-3642","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-heron-hall","category-living-building-challenge-3-0","tag-arch-daily-house","tag-ashoka-fellow","tag-bainbridge-island-home","tag-bainbridge-island-sustainable-home","tag-barn","tag-barn-house","tag-buckminster-fuller","tag-dwell-magazine","tag-enr","tag-green-building","tag-green-design","tag-green-living","tag-greenest-building","tag-heron-hall","tag-jason-f-mclennan","tag-living-building-challenge","tag-living-building-challenge-home","tag-mclennan","tag-mclennan-clan","tag-modern-barn","tag-northwest-home","tag-sustainable-barn-home","tag-sustainable-barn-house","tag-sustainable-home
["GET
